My first ever hole-in-one came in 2003 after trying for several years, it was a Sunday morning in Members competition called Presidents Day an annual 4 man/woman team event. Whilst my team and I weren’t knocking doors out of windows after 13 holes, we came to the 14^th Hole 167yd elevated green par 3, 3 of the team took their shots 1 missing the green short and other two looking like 2 putts would be good for par. Then it was my turn I lined up looking straight at the flag I swung my 8 iron like I was a pro(wishing really), making good solid contact with the ball and as it was in flight I knew then it was going to be a good shot (didn’t at all expect the outcome).

The ball pitched once on the green and straight in the hole!!!

My arms raised and club left my hand with excitement, my voice was heard on every hole from my cheer.

I had achieved one of the greatest feelings in Golf,
